When I read some of your responses to us - it's obvious that we're not on the same wave length anymore. You are old. You have other things on your mind. For us comic books are important. Characters are important. Every young comic book reader wants to be a superhero. To have super powers. It's a power fantasy. Seeing someone like Thor failing, even though he should perform better. Seeing him running away from an exploding planet, even though he should be able to take it. It hurts.
Well, there’s no denying that I am old.
But I certainly understand the feelings that you are talking about.
I suspect that the problem here is mainly one of the curtain being pulled back too far for you. The creators are never going to have the exact same interests and objectives as the audience will. The same would no doubt have been true if I was asking questions to Stan Lee or whomever back in the 1970s.
But don’t think that the characters and the stories are unimportant to me. They may be important in a different way, or I may have a different perspective on them—but no less important.
